Use a physical iPhone (Simulator has no Taptic Engine).
Turn off Silent / Focus modes that suppress haptics.
For realtime taps, turn the session on and keep the app open (a pocket can turn the screen off while the session stays awake).
Outside a session, knocks arrive as a notification. Open the app (or tap the inbox row) to play the pattern.
Can’t sign in
Use Sign in with Apple on the login screen. There is no password account.
Check network access and try again.
The App Store / TestFlight build always uses the production server. There is no API URL field in that build.
Pairing
Create a 6-character code on one device; enter it on the other.
You can pair with several people. Each connection stays 1:1. There is no group chat.

Knock vs LIVE
Knock — send a saved pattern or the default TokTok to someone even if they are away. It waits in their inbox.
LIVE — open a session with one person at a time. Taps go through while both of you are in that session.
We do not keep custom vibration going forever on a locked phone.
Apple Watch
App Store and TestFlight include the Knock watch app inside Haptic Knock. If a Watch is paired and Automatic App Install is on (the usual default), Knock installs on the Watch with the iPhone app.
If it does not appear: iPhone Watch app → My Watch → Haptic Knock → Install.
Sign in on iPhone first. The watch signs in from the phone.
Same rules: knock several people, LIVE with one. Watch alerts use system haptics; custom patterns play after you open them.
Notifications
Allow notifications when prompted.
Knock alerts open the app and play a pending pattern.
Pattern share unlock
Optional purchase. Sending knocks and using LIVE stay free.
This unlocks copying a library pattern into the other person’s library.
Restore purchases in Settings if you already bought it.
Delete account
Settings → Delete account. This cannot be undone.
